Dear International Students,

Welcome to PUT!

I am very satisfied you decide to come to Poznan and study at one of the oldest universities of technology. I am sure you will find courses which will develop your interests and will create opportunities for your future professional career. Our motto is “ Technology in a positive climate” which means all highly qualified academic staff together with Polish students are ready to broaden their knowledge in a positive and student-friendly way. PUT is developing international cooperation introducing new courses and modules conducted in English. Please consult the pages of our faculties to know about variety of courses and studies.

Being a student you are allowed to participate in language and sport classes and to become an active member of research student groups. If you like singing, join university choir or if you are a dance fan, try some dancing with dancing group.

Polish people are very hospitable, therefore, I am sure you will find new friends very quickly. Try Polish food and learn “Basic Polish” just to feel Polish culture. Being a student means not only spending all the time at lectures and in the libraries. I am sure you will find some time to visit Poznan, its beautiful surroundings and may be some parts of Poland.

I hope you will find Poznan a very beautiful city and Poznan University of Technology a very attractive place to study.

I look forward to meeting you soon,

Professor Adam Hamrol
Rector of Poznan Univerity of Technology
