INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS FOR ADMISSION TO POZNAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

Poznan University of Technology offers full-time studies:

• first cycle - 7 semesters (3.5 years) in the Polish language only, beginning in October
• second cycle - 3 semesters (1.5 years) in Polish or English, beginning in February
• third cycle - 4 years in Polish (in individual cases in a foreign language), beginning in October

Applicants are required to:

• hold a valid visa, temporary stay permit card or another document legally permitting to stay in Poland
• be in good health, which has to be proved by a medical certificate stating absence of contraindications against studying the chosen field
• have insurance policy against illness and consequences of accidents, covering the whole period of studies in Poland, or European Health Insurance Card or take out NFZ insurance (Polish National Health Fund) as soon as they begin studies
• hold Polish Secondary School Certificate or legalised/apostille Secondary School Certificate obtained abroad which entitles its holder to apply to higher education institutions of all types in the country where it was issued (in case of first cycle studies), or diploma of completing 1^st cycle studies in Poland or legalised/apostille certificate issued which entitles its holder to apply for 2^nd cycle studies in the country where it was issued
• prove their drawing skills (candidates applying for Architecture and Urban Design).

International applicants for first cycle studies (in the Polish language only) are required to:

• complete a one year preparation course entitling to commencing studies in the Polish language in institutions indicated by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, or
• hold a certificate proving knowledge of Polish issued by State Commission of Certification of Polish Language as Foreign Language Knowledge, or
• obtain PUT approval of their level of preparation and the Polish language knowledge.
